Sedation Dentistry

Dental anxiety | Full circle dental care | del city, OK

At Full Circle Dental Care, we pride ourselves on making every visit as comfortable as possible for our patients. We understand that patients of all ages can be nervous about visiting the dentist office. For this reason, we are pleased to offer sedation dentistry to patients who have a lot of anxiety over their visit to the dentist.

Sedation Dentistry in Del City, OK

Full Circle Dental Care has three different options of sedation for nervous patients:

Oral Sedation - This is a pill that is given to the patient about an hour before their procedure. It helps the patient relax, but will make them feel a little drowsy, while remaining conscious. This is best for patients who only have a mild fear of dental procedures.

Nitrous Oxide - Often called "laughing gas" it is a odorless gas that is administered through an oxygen mask to the patient. During the procedure, patients will be conscious but feel fully relaxed. After the procedure is over, the gs is turned off and patients will quickly return to normal. This is the best option for patients who are driving themselves home after their procedure.

IV Sedation - Patients with severe dental anxiety might require IV sedation. In this case, the drug is carefully delivered into the blood stream while our team monitors the patient's condition. Patients will be relaxed during the procedure and often fall asleep or otherwise not remember anything.
